Grits
Grits are a food created by Native Americans. It consists of ground up corn that is boiled as though it were oatmeal. Despite its long history, it hasn’t traveled very far from the Southern United States.
Taste
Grits taste mediocre on their own, and fairly good when served with butter, salt, and pepper (their most common composition). After preparation, grits rapidly transform into a gelatin, and must be eaten in haste.
Grits became an official snack on April 28th 2012.
