Celtuce
Celtuce is primarily a portmanteau of the words “celery” and “lettuce”. Secondarily, it is a vegetable. It works well as a conversation piece, and fares well in a “first date” meal. It is eaten primarily in China.
Taste
Celtuce is much like the foods that it owes its namesake to: bland and undesirable.
Celtuce became an official snack on April 21st 2012.
