Bear Claw

Bear claw refers to a pastry and not an actual claw. It’s a type of sweet bread that’s served primarily for breakfast. Bear claw is found mostly in the United States, and more specifically, in donut shops. If a person is referred to as a ‘bear claw’, it is a compliment.

Taste
Bear claw tastes great. It’s a super fun food, based on both name and taste. Bear claw is normally covered in a sweet glaze and is sometimes filled with other sweet things, like cherry or almond paste. When dealing with the pastry variety, dipping a bear claw into hot coffee isn’t a bad idea.

Bear Claw became an official snack on May 17th 2012.
