Tortilla Chips
Tortilla chips are prepared by taking corn tortillas, cutting them into triangles, and then frying those triangles in hot oil. They are the french fries of Mexico.
Taste
Tortilla chips taste mediocre on their own, but are generally used exclusively as a vehicle for salsa.
Tortilla Chips became an official snack on April 21st 2012.
