Split Pea Soup
Split pea soup is actually made of peas that are crushed and/or blended, so ‘split’ might be a bit of an understatement. It seems to be most popular in the United Kingdom.
Taste
Though it resembles some sort of sludge, split pea soup tastes fairly good. It usually has a thick consistency, and it isn’t uncommon to find pieces of bacon mixed in.
Split Pea Soup became an official snack on July 11th 2012.
