Pecan Pie
Pecan pie is a distinctly American pie that has connotations to Texas and the extended Southern United States. The pecans float atop the pie and become a sort of dark mahogany color after preparation, giving the pie a stunning disposition. Pecan pie can sometimes disappear without a trace.
Taste
Pecan pie is very sweet, and has a nutty flavor for obvious reasons. It tastes excellent with coffee, and also pairs well served à la mode, meaning ‘with ice cream’.
Pecan Pie became an official snack on June 17th 2012.
