Green Bean
A green bean is actually a plant that houses beans that aren’t done growing yet. They are somewhat popular, but are more often than not, a forgotten vegetable.
Taste
Green beans taste mediocre to good and have a nice ‘snap’ texture (the ‘snap’ varies depending on the preparation). They are a primary ingredient in green bean casserole. Green bean is interesting in that it’s a food that has evolved to house another food inside of it without the assistance of humans.
Green Bean became an official snack on May 26th 2012.
