Cornmeal
Cornmeal is corn that has been ground up until it’s basically a form of flour. It’s mostly popular in the United States, but is found throughout the world due to its flexibility.
Taste
Cornmeal isn’t meant to be eaten alone, but it can be mixed with a few choice ingredients to create a wide variety of snacks. Its most standout appearances are probably in grits and cornbread.
Cornmeal became an official snack on June 4th 2012.
